Fireswirl was founded in 1999 and as a software development and project management company focused on wireless and Internet applications. With offices in Canada and China, the company is active in sales of mobile handsets and providing value added services for the telecommunications industry. Fireswirl's technology has broad applications for solutions requiring multiple payment interfaces, multi-currency and multi-language capabilities for either Internet or wireless applications. Fireswirl is publicly listed in the TSX-Venture Stock Exchange (symbol: FSW) having completed a series of equity financings exceeding $8 million.

In mid 2007, the Company opened an office in China to form relationships within the telecommunication sector. During 2007, the Company developed an infrastructure (legal, banking, financing, import/export, permits, VAT accounts, etc.) for trading mobile devices and selling value-added services for the telecommunications industry in China, and these businesses became active since mid-2008. Fireswirl has also established a number of alliances and sales channels to strengthen its position in offering its products and services in China and other parts of Asia.
